Granny Square Cardigan/Coatigan
This two session course follows a pattern to create a cardigan from just granny squares. You will learn how to make continuous granny squares.
Session 1 will be calculating your size and how many granny squares to complete. We will then start the granny squares for you to then continue at home before session 2. We will also cover how to join the granny squares. This session will be two hours long.
Session 2 will take place around six weeks later and will be three hours long. During this session we will learn how to create the cuffs and the edging which finishes the cardigan. This session will be three hours long.
The beauty of this project is that you can create a short cardigan or a longer “coatigan” according to your taste.
Please note this workshop is not suitable for beginners. You would need to have completed regular granny squares and be comfortable with chains, trebles and slip stitch to be able to complete this cardigan. We will be working with James C Brett Marble Chunky. Materials are not included but those attending the workshop will enjoy a discounted price for purchasing at the Studio. You will need between 4-6 balls depending on your size and the length of cardigan you wish to create.
