Crochet a poppy brooch

£16.50

The red poppy is the symbol of Remembrance. It remembers the sacrifices of those who have served their nation. It shows support for today’s Armed Forces community. It represents hope for a peaceful future.

For more than a century it has been worn, collected in wreaths, its petals dropped, and represented in countless ways as a mark of respect and Remembrance. To wear one is a personal choice and is greatly appreciated by the Royal British Legion.

What the poppy represents helps to bring society together to recognise, remember and support the Armed Forces community.

Crochet your own poppy to wear proudly in support of our Armed Forces.

This 1hr 15 min workshop will show you how to use different stitches to create this cute poppy brooch. You will finish this during the workshop.

This workshop is not for complete beginners - it is for those comfortable with foundation chains, trebles and slip stitch. IF you would like to learn crochet to be able to do these in future, sign up for the “Learn to Crochet” course!

Workshop fees include a kit for two brooches, one to complete during the workshop and one to create at home. 10% of the proceeds from the course and any further purchases made on the day of the workshop will be donated to Help the Heroes.

Sorry but there are no refunds if you are unable to attend on the day, buty ou will be offered the kit including instructions. If, in the unlikely event of me cancelling the course, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.
